It’s been awhile since I spoke of Mr TO, and his future football career. However with the new season coming up, the Cincinnati Bengals drafting an awesome new wide receiver, and the lack luster season despite Terrell Owens’ awesome statistics last season, he’ll be looking to play just one more year. Again.
Owens has been a receiving mercenary in recent years, bouncing from town to town trying to latch onto a winner. It didn’t work in Dallas, it didn’t work in Buffalo and the Bengals flopped last season.
But if there was a bright spot to Cincinnati’s disappointing campaign, it was Owens showing a flash of his younger self. His 72 catches for close to a 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns was his best year since 2008 when he was a Cowboy. The Bengals won’t be bringing him back next season, but if nothing else, Owens at least showed he still has some left in the tank.
My guess is the Jacksonville Jaguars – they’re in need of receivers and have a new quarterback this season. Let the veteran teach them how to play in the NFL.
Having been let go by his second team in less than a month, Randy Moss is expected to be available to all other NFL teams on today after being waived by the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. However, where will he go?
Yeah, it’s official. Terrell Ochouno has joined the Cincy Bengals right next to Chad. As I predicted some time ago. =)
Wait. What? The Bengals earlier this year stated there was no chance
I was momentarily jazzed about the idea of both Terrell Owens (T.O.) and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson on the same team. The two largest loudmouths (albeit, Ochocinco is quite hilarious) in the league catching passes for the top AFC-North team. However, the Cincinnati Bengals didn’t sign him.
