• T.O. where do you go now?

T.O. where do you go now? 104272948 display imageIt’s been awhile since I spoke of Mr TO, and his future football career. However with the new season coming up, the Cincinnati Bengals drafting an awesome new wide receiver, and the lack luster season despite Terrell Owens’ awesome statistics last season, he’ll be looking to play just one more year. Again.

Owens has been a receiving mercenary in recent years, bouncing from town to town trying to latch onto a winner. It didn’t work in Dallas, it didn’t work in Buffalo and the Bengals flopped last season.

But if there was a bright spot to Cincinnati’s disappointing campaign, it was Owens showing a flash of his younger self. His 72 catches for close to a 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns was his best year since 2008 when he was a Cowboy. The Bengals won’t be bringing him back next season, but if nothing else, Owens at least showed he still has some left in the tank.

My guess is the Jacksonville Jaguars – they’re in need of receivers and have a new quarterback this season. Let the veteran teach them how to play in the NFL.

  • Who’s the next boss for Randy Moss?

Who’s the next boss for Randy Moss? 1vike1031callHaving been let go by his second team in less than a month, Randy Moss is expected to be available to all other NFL teams on today after being waived by the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. However, where will he go?

Just like the post I did on Terrell Owens, here are my predictions for the waiver wire this week:

  • Ocho & TO

Ocho & TO 38390 415706110263 192889005263 5189350 2810144 nIt doesn’t become any more official until you see them both standing together in the locker room.

As  Chad states on his Facebook:

Whether you like it not, it’s going down, all db’s can kiss da baby! Be ready!

Yeah. This Bengals season is going to be on like donkey kong. Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson & Terrel “TO” Owens, two of the biggest drama queens, on the same team. I love it.

  • Two divas, one team

Two divas, one team owens27 jpg 788701gm aYeah, it’s official. Terrell Ochouno has joined the Cincy Bengals right next to Chad. As I predicted some time ago. =)

The Cincinnati Bengals and the controversial wide receiver agreed to a one-year contract today, according to multiple reports. The deal is worth $4 million ($2 million in base salary, $2 million in incentives), according to Profootballtalk.com.

Fellow Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco confirmed the news on his Twitter account with:

“My homeboy is a Bengal all our games have been moved to pay-per-view.”

The Bengals report for training camp Wednesday in Georgetown, Ky. Owens is expected to arrive for the first day of workouts Thursday. The 36-year-old Owens is playing for his sixth NFL team. He played for the 49ers from 1996-2003, the Eagles from 2004-2005, the Cowboys from 2006-2008 and the Bills in 2009.

The Bengals signed free-agent WR Antonio Bryant to a four-year, $29 million deal back in March and were seemingly looking good at the receiver position. Bryant was signed to start opposite Ochocinco, but Bryant dealt with knee problems most of last season.

  • Terrell Ochouno?

Terrell Ochouno? 0723 owens ex getty 2Wait. What? The Bengals earlier this year stated there was no chance Terrell Owens would be headed to Cincinnati. And now? I just don’t know who to believe.

His career is washed up though, for sure. Both his NFL career and his “acting” career before it’s even really started. Either way, sources are stating that T.O. is “very close” to signing a contract with the AFC North division winners of last year.

  • T.O. where do you go?

T.O. where do you go? terrell owens9I was momentarily jazzed about the idea of both Terrell Owens (T.O.) and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson on the same team. The two largest loudmouths (albeit, Ochocinco is quite hilarious) in the league catching passes for the top AFC-North team. However, the Cincinnati Bengals didn’t sign him.

And then there was the idea of him going to the Washington Redskins, to hook up with his former, newly acquired, quarterback Donovan McNabb. However a team with one of the worst records last year wasn’t interested, either.

Terrell Owens remains a free agent. And the six-time Pro Bowl receiver is showing his frustration at being out of work.

  • If Moss is out, do the Redskins sign T.O.?

If Moss is out, do the Redskins sign T.O.? mcnabbtoA good point was brought up: Maybe the Redskins should reconsider signing T.O. if Santana Moss is suspended by the NFL after being linked to Canadian doctor Anthony Galea, who was charged with smuggling human growth hormone into the United States. Would the McNabb-Owens reunion be a good thing for the Redskins?

Personally, I don’t see how it could be worse. The 36-year-old veteran receiver might still be pursued if Moss is out for the year, or at least a large chunk of time. What better way to make Donovan McNabb partially useless in his new team.
