I only wish it were the full length of the duel in The Princess Bride (one of the most fantastical (yes I made that up) movies of all time). As it is, the video still ends well, I’m sure the video editor was getting tired of altering the frames.~
..but I still won’t get rid of my iPhone.
Verizon Wireless made the release date for the Motorola DROID R2-D2, Star Wars Special Edition handset public. The device will be available beginning on September 30th online and in select stores for $249 after a $100 mail-in-rebate. The special-edition smartphone will come preloaded with notification sounds, ringtones, wallpapers, widgets, and music from the Star Wars movies. How cool is that? You know, if you’re a complete Star Wars nut.
Regardless of what you think about the whole iPhone 4 antenna debate, there’s no denying that it’s fueling a massive amount of creativity on the Internet.
My three favorite lines from this video:
- “Are you seriously defending the new phone by saying that it almost performs as well as the old phone? Is that what the plan is?”
- “Ha ha, and get what, the EVO? I mean those poor saps are having light leaks and their screens peeling off after a couple of days.”
- “And don’t even get me started on the Droid X. Uh, let’s see, you take the original phone, remove the physical keyboard, make it as big as a toaster, and still don’t add a front-facing camera? Yeah, that’s progress.”
