As much as I hate him, it looks like Tom Brady has done it again with the top quarterback performance of the week. Wes Welker and those new tight ends on the Patriots sure must be happy. Chad Ochocinco? Uhh, sure. Maybe he’ll make the playoffs.
This week’s top performances keeps the surprises rolling in, with some unexpected QB appearances and a couple of wide receivers whom I’ve never even heard of.

What a week we had in the NFL. I lost track of the broken records, career highs, and unbelievable scoring and each performance that I highly doubt will be a consistent sight for the remainder of the season. As is the Packers-Saints game didn’t give enough quarterback highlights, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees didn’t land in the top 3 of the week for quarterbacks, and 3 huge surprises made it into the top 5, whom you likely had on your bench or in free agency.
The running back situation was also a shock, as Adrian Peterson, Chris Johnson, and Arian Foster were nowhere near the top 10. Instead you saw the likes of Ben Tate, Chris Beanie Wells, and Mike Tolbert. The wide receiver core looked somewhat normal, although big time Andre Johnson barely made the top 10, and you’ll never see Terrell Owens or Randy Moss again.

Ever since Andrew Luck backed out on his first-overall pick for the 2011 NFL season, we are now wondering how, and more specifically where, he is going to place next year. Maybe he just didn’t want to end up on the Panthers, as Cam Newton did instead?
Luck already has a storied college career with a list of accomplishments too long to list, although some highlights include being the runner-up for the 2010 Heisman Trophy and being named Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year. Some scouts have been calling him, “The best prospect they’ve ever scouted,” and he has been drawing comparisons to former #1 overall pick Peyton Manning. Whoever finishes with the worst record in the upcoming NFL season will have the opportunity to draft Luck, and here are some of my predictions.
