Top NFL Players week 17

While there was only one mystery to be had on playoff positioning (New York Giants making it, the Dallas Cowboys going home) there were plenty of surprises with the performances of each top player this week. I was able to win my second money league’s super bowl, thanks to my opponent’s Aaron Rodgers resting up for next weekend.

Now that we’re done with the regular season of 2011, enjoy the playoffs, as all 3 of my favorite teams are in it this year.  Continue reading “Top NFL Players week 17” Top NFL Players week 17

Most fantasy football leagues are over for their regular season, and it’s off to the playoffs. Some have a week to go, depending on how your league manager configured things. Either way, it’s been fun to review the top 5 this year, and I’ll continue to do so while the NFL season is still going on.

8 months ago, would we have seen the #1 overall pick go completely crazy like he has all year long? If it wasn’t starting off the first 2 weeks throwing for 900 yards, then it was running in touchdowns to make Michael Vick look more like Tim Tebow. The San Francisco 49ers have their first winning season since 2002, and they’re not done yet. The Green Bay Packers remain undefeated, and both teams play on Thanksgiving. It’s like a feat of my favorite teams who are both atop the entire NFL.

My Packers this week play a team who used to be a dangerous 5-0 until the 49ers exposed them, gave them their first of 3 losses, but this past weekend produced the #1 QB and #1 RB of the week. Will the Harbaugh brothers (Jim Harbaugh, 49ers coach, and John Harbaugh, Ravens coach) have a strong defensive game on Thanksgiving when they face each other? This will be the first time in NFL history two brothers square off as head coaches of their respective teams.

Thanks to Adrian Peterson, Ryan Mathews, and Fred Jackson (IR now) all having crappy games, I lost my 3rd game of the season in one of my money leagues. Ugh! Thanks a lot, guys. But on to the guys who gave their teams big points:  Continue reading “Top NFL players week 11” Top NFL players week 11
