Top 5 Fantasy Football QBs to stay away from

So the NFL Pre-season has officially started as of this past weekend, and I’ve done 2 of my 4 fantasy football drafts for this season already. I know many more drafts are to come, and for those of you who want the perspective of someone who has won many leagues in the past few years that I have been playing, I’ll dispense my knowledge and advice on a top-5 basis.

First up on the “do not draft list” is the duo of quarterbacks who were swapped back in 2009. Jay Cutler, and Kyle Orton.  Continue reading “Top 5 Fantasy Football QBs to stay away from” Top 5 Fantasy Football QB…

Who will be throwing the ball for the Niners next season?

With questions regarding who will be under center next season for the 49ers, I decided to hear your thoughts.

San Francisco has announced that the next starting quarterback is not on the roster. Alex and Troy Smith have not solidified their right to be a starter next season, and the 49ers have the 7th overall pick in the 2011 draft with a new head coach out of a successful college coaching career.

Vernon Davis stated he would not mind catching balls from either Kyle Orton (being replaced by Tim Tebow on the Broncos) or Donovan McNabb (being replaced by anybody on the Redskins). With Michael Vick going off the hinges this year, Kevin Kolb is available from the Eagles. Then there’s the possibility of Matt Leinart, released by the Cardinals, having a chance.

What do you think? Vote below — you can select up to two options.

Who misses Singletary? Vernon doesn’t.

Vernon Davis was caught by TMZ one night, stating he does not miss his old head coach Mike Singletary, and that he’s fired up about the prospect of playing with injury-riddled Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton, who is rumored to be on the outs in Denver with Tim Tebow starting to take the reigns. When asked if an Orton-to-SF deal was in the works, Davis told us, “Kyle Orton, if you’re coming, come on buddy. I love you.”

I liked Kyle Orton several years ago when he was with the bears, the Orton to Greg Olsen (TE) was a huge combination, so I can only imagine that Orton-VDavis will be huge as well.
