Perhaps you really DO have brain damage. How far do you think this is going to go? Players are paid, very well, for their participation in a sport they love to play. It involves physical contact. If you didn’t like it, you should stick to something easier.

you won’t agree with me, and that’s okay. But what is the NFL going to do, ask players to make softer hits? Re-warn to protect yourself? Go to steel & titanium helmets instead of plastic? Change to flag football?

Approximately a year-and-a-half ago I posted about Junior Seau attempting to commit suicide. Yesterday he shot himself in the chest to end his life.

Last year 50-year-old former Chicago Bears player Dave Duerson was found dead in his Florida home last year from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. Before his death, he texted his family asking for his brain to be used for research (hence why he shot himself in the chest). Months later, researcher neurologists at Boston University confirmed Duerson had suffered from a neurodegenerative disease linked to concussions. It’s likely Junior Seau shot himself in the chest for the same reason.  Read the rest of this entry » RIP Junior Seau

Retired football player Junior Seau was arrested in San Diego early this morning for domestic violence, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility around 2:00am. He was released at 3:20am.

He then, a few hours later, drove his SUV off of a cliff in Oceanside. The retired NFL superstar sustained injuries in the wreck. TMZ reported the photo of Seau’s SUV which landed at the bottom of a cliff several feet from the beach.

Seau has been transported to a local hospital.
