Chicago without a Favre Fantasy

Speculation of Brett Favre signing with the Chicago Bears seemed to be a real possibility. Besides, doesn’t Favre want to play for all of the NFC-North teams? He’d only have the Detroit Lions to go!

Jay Cutler contends the retired quarterback might have agreed to an NFL return, at the right price. Cutler’s agent is Bus Cook, who just so happens to be Favre’s longtime rep. Cutler, who’s sidelined indefinitely after having thumb surgery, spoke with Cook about the situation earlier in the week. “He didn’t really expect Brett to come back,” Cutler told ESPN Radio on Wednesday. “Brett probably would have came back, but I’m sure it would have to be a very, very high number money-wise, and it would have been interesting.”  Continue reading “Chicago without a Favre Fantasy” Chicago without a Favre F…

Top NFL players week 11

The San Francisco 49ers have their first winning season since 2002, and they’re not done yet. The Green Bay Packers remain undefeated, and both teams play on Thanksgiving. It’s like a feat of my favorite teams who are both atop the entire NFL.

My Packers this week play a team who used to be a dangerous 5-0 until the 49ers exposed them, gave them their first of 3 losses, but this past weekend produced the #1 QB and #1 RB of the week. Will the Harbaugh brothers (Jim Harbaugh, 49ers coach, and John Harbaugh, Ravens coach) have a strong defensive game on Thanksgiving when they face each other? This will be the first time in NFL history two brothers square off as head coaches of their respective teams.

Thanks to Adrian Peterson, Ryan Mathews, and Fred Jackson (IR now) all having crappy games, I lost my 3rd game of the season in one of my money leagues. Ugh! Thanks a lot, guys. But on to the guys who gave their teams big points:  Continue reading “Top NFL players week 11” Top NFL players week 11

Top NFL players week 6

As if this year’s NFL season hasn’t been crazy enough, 8 of this week’s top-5 are outside of the top-10 overall for the season. Ahmad Bradshaw claims the lone 30-point performance, putting it to those hapless Bills with 3 scores. Only two quarterbacks landed in the 20-point range, but all 5 running backs had a 20+ point performance. To make things even more exciting, all 6 wide receivers this week are fresh in our top-5 list.

My 49ers are 2nd in the NFL/NFC at 5-1, my Packers are atop by themselves at 6-0, and my prediction Eagles & Falcons are doing quite horrible. My fantasy teams with money involved are both 4-2, so being first/second place in those isn’t too shabby.

And, as you’ve been waiting for, on to the list!  Continue reading “Top NFL players week 6” Top NFL players week 6
