I could not help but smile, and cheer inside, as the Miami Heat were closed out of the NBA finals. Good riddance, LeBron! Ever since King James’ “decision” and the aftermath after, I have wanted to see the Miami Heat lose. And now we are all vindicated.
I wonder how the city of Cleveland reacted.
James took his talents to South Beach, and South Beach is where the Mavericks left him empty and frustrated. He is still tied for NBA titles with the Cavaliers he left behind.
Right from the start, the Mavericks took control of the game, scoring 32 points in the very first quarter. The Heat got back into the game in the second quarter, reducing the Mavericks lead to two points by halftime. Dallas opened up the third quarter just like the first, building their lead back to nine points and controlling the remainder of the game.
