Six more big NFL trades & acquisitions to discuss madden 08So while I am waiting rather impatiently for Nnamdi Asomugha to announce his decision to create a powerhouse with Darrelle Revis, I have five, in my opinion, rather large player moves in the NFL. Vince Young to the Eagles (to backup Michael Vick), Chad Ochocinco to the Patriots, Darren Sproles to the Saints, Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to the Eagles, Sidney Rice to the Seahawks.

First off, the 2005 Heisman Trophy runner-up (losing to Reggie bush), ex-Titan, Vince Young.  Read the rest of this entry » Six more big NFL trades &...

  • 2010 is done already? That was it?

I’ve decided that my jar of heart collecting should by now be absolutely empty, much to Christina Perri’s pleasure I am certain. Any karmatic balances this world holds should well be balanced for me by now from any previous actions I’ve taken in the past. For the rest of you, I apologize for any inflictions I have created. Let there be justice, please. I’ve paid my dues.

To ensure that I have a better “new year”, I’m going with the culmination of my original thought process enforced by a friend’s methodology, and cutting ties. Possibly a lot of ties. More importantly those that are poisonous to me, useless in nature, or are self-inflicting painful. Starting will be the removal of a few connections on Facebook, or the entire removal of my profile. Who knows. I may quietly flip a coin somewhere off into the distance.

I can on one hand count the number of people, not related to me, that I consider myself thankful for interacting with this year; whether I knew you previously or we met through some cosmic force during the course of this past year. This is not a prosperous message to state, obviously, yet the fact still remains.

Where do I journey on from here? While I am still working through that, both in the mental and the physical sense, I realize that time will unfold everything, when it’s good and ready. I’ll take yet another page from Kid Cudi, as I did last year:

    Away very far away
To another universe where all people say
It’s a new new place for the special to embrace
Like a martian you seein’ it
    Wandered out the place
Take what you need from the valley of the hopeful
Even if you dry you’ll be floatin’ high above it
You can say Bye Bye Bye
Sky might be fallin’ but remember you can fly high

Funny how little things can change. Or to quote one of my favorite personalities, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, my New Years resolution is to remember last year resolution and finish that one first.

    Good night everyone. Be safe.

  • Ochocinco draws more hate

Ochocinco draws more hate nfl a starks b1 288Hate to love him, or love to hate him? Personally, I think Chad Ochocinco of the Cincinnati Bengals is hilarious. Unlike his new teammate Terrell Owens, “85″ brings forth comedy both on and off the field.

Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Max Starks wasn’t amused by Chad Ochocinco’s recent trash talking. According to an interview Friday with Ken Laird of Pittsburgh’s ESPN radio 1250, one statement in particular really bothered Starks, one of the team’s locker-room leaders. Ochocinco recently said on his VH1 reality dating show, “Man, I haven’t seen this many girls on a football field since the last time we played the Steelers.”

  • Ocho & TO

Ocho & TO 38390 415706110263 192889005263 5189350 2810144 nIt doesn’t become any more official until you see them both standing together in the locker room.

As  Chad states on his Facebook:

Whether you like it not, it’s going down, all db’s can kiss da baby! Be ready!

Yeah. This Bengals season is going to be on like donkey kong. Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson & Terrel “TO” Owens, two of the biggest drama queens, on the same team. I love it.

  • Two divas, one team

Two divas, one team owens27 jpg 788701gm aYeah, it’s official. Terrell Ochouno has joined the Cincy Bengals right next to Chad. As I predicted some time ago. =)

The Cincinnati Bengals and the controversial wide receiver agreed to a one-year contract today, according to multiple reports. The deal is worth $4 million ($2 million in base salary, $2 million in incentives), according to Profootballtalk.com.

Fellow Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco confirmed the news on his Twitter account with:

“My homeboy is a Bengal all our games have been moved to pay-per-view.”

The Bengals report for training camp Wednesday in Georgetown, Ky. Owens is expected to arrive for the first day of workouts Thursday. The 36-year-old Owens is playing for his sixth NFL team. He played for the 49ers from 1996-2003, the Eagles from 2004-2005, the Cowboys from 2006-2008 and the Bills in 2009.

The Bengals signed free-agent WR Antonio Bryant to a four-year, $29 million deal back in March and were seemingly looking good at the receiver position. Bryant was signed to start opposite Ochocinco, but Bryant dealt with knee problems most of last season.

  • Why we hate Ochocinco

Why we hate Ochocinco 200px Chad Johnson 2007So pre-season football is almost upon us, and I just ran a draft for one of the fantasy football leagues I am running. As such, I’m catching up on all the player news across the league, and one of my favorite writers (hate him or not, I at least listen to what he has to say) Matthew Berry wrote his Love/Hate for the week, with a little additive about Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, in which he states why he “Hates” the Cincinnati Bengals’ Quarterback and Wide Receiver:

Carson Palmer, QB, Bengals: Cedric Benson up the middle for 4. Second down now and Benson is off left tackle, gain of 3. Palmer back to pass, Chad Ochocinco … is doing the foxtrot? In the middle of the route! Pass is off target, incomplete. Fourth down.

Chad Ochocinco, WR, Bengals: “Dancing With the Stars.” A dating reality show. An iPhone app. These are things I should be doing during an offseason, not the accomplishments of a professional football wide receiver. With the exception of a huge game against Detroit, Ochocinco was fairly terrible over the second half of last year but was bailed out by four straight weeks of scoring, but you can’t count on that. Double-digit touchdowns only once in his career and Antonio Bryant will steal enough catches off of this run-first offense to make Chad a No. 3 wideout who will get drafted as a No. 2.

I figured with the recent drama between Ochocinco and Green Bay Packers’ Tight end Jermichael Finley, this was a fitting assessment. Anyone who knows Chad, follws his TV shows or on Twitter, should appreciate the above quote.

This however doesn’t change the fact of me wanting Ochocinco on one of my fantasy teams for the year – he makes great chat topics at work!
