iNetflix is here!So it’s been awhile since I’ve updated. Sue me. =)

However, I have a few updates to present, and the Netflix app for your iThing (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) is on the top of the list. Sure, I already have the app which allows me to arrange my queue, add and remove movies etc — but now I can actually watch them, too. Great for road trips, bored on a Wi-Fi enabled plane, etc.

“Apple has changed the game for mobile devices,” said Reed Hastings, Netflix co-founder and chief executive officer. “We’re excited that our members can now carry Netflix around in their pockets and instantly watch movies and TV shows streamed from Netflix right to their iPhone or iPod touch.”

Apple has just released an update to iOS, labeled iOS 4.0.2. The update, amongst other things, plugs the PDF security hole used by the website jailbreakme.com. This of course, means that you jailbreakers, if you update and have yet to jailbreak your OS4 software, will need to wait until the hackers release a new version.

Owners of the iPhone will be able to break electronic locks on their devices in order to download applications that have not been approved by Apple. The government is making that legal under new rules announced today. The decision to allow the practice commonly known as “jailbreaking” is one of a handful of new exemptions [...]

And now comes, instead of the sleek black look, a shiny silver version! Limited edition consoles are sold in [...]

Regardless of what you think about the whole iPhone 4 antenna debate, there’s no denying that it’s fueling a massive amount of creativity on the Internet. My three favorite lines from this video: “Are you seriously defending the new phone by saying that it almost performs as well as the old phone? Is that what [...]

iPhone coming to T-Mobile, not to Verizon

Yet another blow to AT&T while also hurting Verizon, is the iPhone crossing over to T-mobile before other carriers. Granted, the hardware is very similar to AT&T’s hardware, and only a slight frequency change must be made. But yeah. Verizon? So sorry. It looks like it will all take place in the third quarter of [...]

An iTunes update is available. Don’t ask me what it does, besides change your version number from 9.2.0 — the site states “iTunes 9.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes.” Thanks, that’s helpful. Informative as always, Steve.

Random thought – if you dropped one of these inside a vibrator, would it power on forever? Japanese electronics manufacturer Brother is stepping outside its printing and sewing machine roots to explore motion-powered battery technology. The Japanese company is unveiling prototype AA and AAA batteries that are comprised of a rechargeable battery and an accompanying [...]

The new Xbox 360 “slim” is super sweet looking, comes with a 250GB hard drive (more than any console currently), built-in WiFi, and is slimmer and sleeker than even the Playstation 3. This is likely a reason as to why Microsoft’s Xbox beat out every other at-home console last month. Helped by new model sales, the [...]
