• Oh Tiger, it just never goes away!

Oh Tiger, it just never goes away! JoslynTiger doomsday 604x341If you haven’t heard, one of Tiger Woods’ mistresses, a porn star in fact, released private text messages from Tiger from last year. Some of the content is.. brutal, to say the least.

An additive from FOX News: SLIDESHOW: The Women Linked to Tiger Woods

I found this Southpark video a little amusing as well.

  • Dear Browns, your quarterback woes have only begun

Dear Browns, your quarterback woes have only begun jake delhommeI rarely talk about professional sports teams on this blog, but this is a topic that makes me wonder. The Cleveland Browns, last year with two “workable” quarterbackss, recently removed them both from the roster. Derek Anderson (1 probowl, cut) and Brady Quinn (traded to Broncos) were the two starting QBs last year, alternating between the two since neither seemed consistent enough to remain the solid starter.

Who do they pick up? Jake Delhomme from the Panthers. In my opinion, a worse option than either of the 2 QBs they let go. He finished last year after 11 games with a 59.4 passer rating. Wow. Really, Browns? Really? Discount the fact that he played on a run-first team behind DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, this is not a QB that I would hope to have as my starter on a team that is still unsettled as to which sort of offense they want to run.

He was released from Carolina for a reason, right?

In other news.. LaDainian Tomlinson to the Jets is a good move for him, as opposed to going to the Vikings.

  • Ochocinco and the latest dating reality show

Ochocinco and the latest dating reality show Chad Ochocinco Dating Reality Show On VH1Chad Ochocinco has already traded his cleats for dancing shoes. Now the Cincinnati Bengal is adding another reality TV star to his résumé.

The father of four will be featured in The Tournament, a new cable docu-soap that will follow the 32-year-old Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver as he searches for a new partner. Ochocinco will choose from 85 women and during the first 10 episodes he will narrow it down to 16, 4 from each region of the country.

Personally, I enjoy Chad Johnson’s antics off the football field. It doesn’t affect his play or give the team a negative attitude about him (I’m looking at you, T.O.) and actually makes his next game more exciting. Good thing the Bengals swept the division though, with all the trash talk he sent to Ray Lewis this past season.

  • Tiger Woods – Golf in two weeks!

Tiger Woods Golf in two weeks! woodsx inset communityTiger Woods returns to his game of golf in two weeks, to play in the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He has hired Ari Fleischer as an advisor to get himself back into the crowd and media’s favor. Ari also helped the likes of ole George Dubya Bush and Mark McGwire in the past, and now runs a sports communication firm.

How do you feel about the re-entry to his sport? Is he ready yet? Time will tell..

  • America puts the hurt on Finland and then cruises for the last 50 minutes

America puts the hurt on Finland and then cruises for the last 50 minutes usa winsxSo I once again had the opportunity to stream the noon-time game from nbcolympics.com today. The first few minutes were hysterical. Goal after goal after goal, rinse and repeat. Out of the first four goals, USA had only taken seven shots, meaning the opposing Finland goalie only made three saves. He was then promptly removed from the game, and replaced with another.. who rapidly coughed up two goals of his own.

Just ten minutes into the game and USA is up 6-0, tying an American record from 1962 when the USA team scored 6 against Germany in the first period.

Most of the remaining game was rather uneventful, as USA floated to an easy win and will prepare to contend for the Gold medal in two days, the last day of the Olympics, against either Canada or Slovakia. The most amazing fact I enjoy is that 20 of the 23 USA hockey players have never been to the Olympics. Just think how amazing we will be in 2014!

Tiger vs PETA round one, fight! 0225 tiger billboard ex

The latest “Too much sex can be a bad thing” ad is intended to promote pet owners to have their pets spayed or neutered. However it seems Tiger had a hissy fit (who can blame him?) and the ads are being postponed.

  • USA vs Switzerland in Olympic Hockey Quarterfinals!

USA vs Switzerland in Olympic Hockey Quarterfinals! 969374171The eighth-seeded Swiss team earned the right to play the No. 1 Americans by beating Belarus 3-2 in a shootout on Tuesday. Fortunately for the young American team, Switzerland has already lost to the Americans 3-1 last week. The best part is, assuming the we beat the Swiss team again, we will not be forced to face Canada, Russia, or Sweden until the final gold-medal game.

Go Team USA! This game is being streamed live on NBColympics.com.

  • Fourteen Minutes of Shame

Don’t blame fame and money for your screwups. Stop scolding the media for getting involved. I almost wanted to believe you in the first few minutes, but then you just going on and on about how we are the guilty ones, soooo….

  • Why wait three months, Tiger?

Why wait three months, Tiger? 091202 tiger grid.h2Tiger Woods will make a public statement on Friday for the first time since revelations about his infidelity. My only question is… Tiger, if you’re sincere about this, why did you wait so long? Hoping to get back into Golf and have this not greatly impact your career, possibly?

    Read more here.

On a poll about the timing of this..

    • 39% say “better late than never”
    • 21% say this will make a little impact for him
    • 40%, including myself, state “he waited too long”

    Sorry, Tiger. You’re a douchebag.
