Recorded from channel1049.com radio player, onto my computer, turned into mp3 format, and uploaded.

    October 15th…

Today I had a fun opportunity to go into the studio of Channel 104.9 to announce my favorite song. However they only had three songs by Muse in their library. Seeing as how my favorite of the three was far too cliché to want to announce as “my favorite song”, Teddy and I agreed that we could copy it into their system. So to my car I went, grabbed my MUSE mp3 CD, and into the studio came the copying. After a few takes to balance the levels or whatnot, the song was beautifully copied.

A quick take of my voice on the mic (I’ve never been on a real microphone, let alone a big radio station) and I’m historically embedded into the channel’s memory. MUSE’s “Bliss” is forever mine. ;)
I also had the opportunity to announce another song for future use, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ “Face Down” will feature my intro from time to time I imagine, so if you hear a male voice introducing the song, it’s very likely me! Especially since I say my name as part of it.

I met 7 bands. 11 CDs signed, 3 posters and a play set list from last month in Las Vegas. Overall a better success than last year’s 5 bands and 8 CDs. =)

No, I didn’t spend all day at the autograph booth, either. I saw many great bands perform, on both the Festival stages and the Main stage. Totally worth the $25-30 I paid for the ticket. ;)

Thanks to the Live 105 employees who kicked me out of line waiting to meet Sum 41. I’m sorry that you JUST saw me for Silversun Pickups and Shiny Toy Guns signings, and you felt that I was going through the line too many times. You bitches. Not that it matters as everything I brought to be signed was autographed by bands doing signing.

The Kaiser Chiefs were canceled due to time constraints (the signing area was over a half hour late to begin with – that’s hard to make up) and The Faint decided not to do signing as “they were hungry” .. lol.. can you not wait 20 minutes to eat and do your fans the favor that they came for?

Every Move a Picture was supposed to be signing at 12. Due to the fact the Shoreline staff has NO FUCKING CLUE how to manage a crowd, it took over an hour to get through the gates from the parking lot. The gates opened at 10:30, I showed around 11 and didn’t get in until around 12:10. EMAP! sat down around 12:35 and I was somehow the first person in line.. so, the EMAP postcard you see is the first signing of BFD 2007. =)

I then went and watched a few bands including The Lovemakers. I thought to myself “they’re pretty awesome!” and waddled my way over to the autograph tent where, again, there was almost no one there. They handed me a CD, signed it, and said “You’re going to love this. Turn your volume up to like 9 or 11.” .. which is just some random number unless my speaker system goes up to like 12. What if it goes up to 50? Or 100? hah..

When I met The Bravery I presented them with the play set list, the papers taped to the ground for them to read the order of their songs, from May 18th at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock. They were like “woah, I remember this!” I’m sooo getting it framed. You know, now that it’s signed!

Bloc Party was awesome, the singer goes “You know, this is the first one of these [CD booklets] I’ve seen all night”. True, everyone was getting the free posters signed, I suppose most people don’t think to bring their CDs to be signed, eh?

I watched The Kaiser Chiefs and Interpol from my Row B seats, and met up with some friends when Interpol was done. Watched Queens of the Stone Age, Social Distortion, and Bloc Party with them. As quoted from Bloc Party… “We have 2 songs left for you. Heh, blame Social Distortion…” lol.. yeah, Social D went past their time a little. ;)

View my picture album for photos of various stuff, or my photobucket for pictures. ;)

I got my Origin of Symmetry CD in the mail. Bliss is $^@#$^@ awesome, now I can feel less dirty having downloaded all of their music, as I now own all Muse’s 3 albums.. that I know of.. It’s also car makeout music, incase you were wondering.

FedEx came and stopped by on Friday, at 4:30 mind you when most people are working, and left a little doortag on my door saying that I was screwed! Hah, but no really, they need to come after 5 if they’re going to leave doortags for you to go pickup your own damn stuff.

They also have a form on the back, for them to leave future shipments, and any special instructions as to where packages should be placed.
I want to fill it out, and tell them to put them around the house, under a tree, in a bush, or generally any other good hiding place, and then to call me, to let me know where they hid it!
This could be much fun. Like an easter egg hunt. I’d send myself stuff just so I could find out where they hid it, later on. Much fun, mind you, much fun.

But seriously, I want to know what the package was!! Is it my ditigal camera?? Is it the package of stuff my ex decided to keep when she fucked me over and I had to call her parents to ship it out?? Is it one of about a half dozen other things from eBay that I’m waiting for ???!?!?!?!?! MUCH FUN!

This song explains like no other, how I felt, and all the things I went through, 2 months ago tonight. You’ve definitely flipped me upside down, and back again. Even though you insist I give you too much credit for things, I believe you don’t give yourself enough. I wish I would have had the foresight and wisdom to have seen this coming, but I also wish you had the maturity and respect to have said something.

That aside, I am still interested in staying friends with you. No, I’m not creepy. Yes, I want my things back, things that hold many memories for me, and of which you should no longer need to hold onto. Please do, feel free to stay in contact with me. Bitterness and disappointment being over, you need not worry about having sad/angry discussions with me.

This is posted on a private group I created when I made this LJ account, which holds only your name, feel free to reply to it.

    Now they’re going to bed
    And my stomach is sick
And it’s all in my head
But she’s touching his chest now

He takes off her dress now
    Let me go
    And I just can’t look
    It’s killing me
    And taking control

    Jealousy
    Turning saints into the sea
    Turning through sick lullaby
    Joking on your alibi
But it’s just the price I pay
    Destiny is calling me
    Open up my eager eyes
    I’m Mr. Brightside

Thanks for the accent.. I feel as if I’m in the cast of Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels. Awesome CD though.
Dry Your Eyes lyrics (as well as the rest of them)

I’m holding The Killers and Postal Service ransom until we go down to Monterey.~

Awesome album, very awesome. I’m listening to it at work.

I feel a lot less dirty now, having purchased it, after I downloaded all of the mp3′s about 2 weeks ago.. I had the lyrics to White Houses memorized about 2 months ago. =(

C’est La Vie is still my favorite track on the album. Afterglow is awesome as well. The whole album is good, what am I saying? ;p
If you loved ‘Be Not Nobody’, this one will give you orgasms in your sleep.

My biggest downside? Only 10 tracks.. EXCEPT THAT HIDDEN 11TH ONE, HAHA! So clever~
I can’t wait to pop this in and see the ‘Enhanced’ features.. it’ll have to be on my second computer, as I install EQ2 with all 37 CD’s on my main one. P.S… thanks Fry’s, for taking 20 minutes to deal with my pre-order and making me late for work this morning.

Take your records, take your freedom
    Take your memories I don’t need’em
Take your space and take your reasons
    But you’ll think of me
And take your cap and leave my sweater
‘Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I’ll feel a whole lot better
But you’ll think of me, you’ll think of me
