• Underground Comedy 2010

Underground Comedy 2010 screenshot 2010 07 31 10.57Updating from an earlier post, I have found the trailer for Lindsay Lohan’s “new film” — it’s not completely safe for work/kids, so beware.

It’s kinda funny, in a really stupid way. Think of it more as one of those comedy date movies that throws in several different movies together, and this is the result.

Michael Clarke Duncan also stars on top of the ShamWOW guy and LiLo.

American Idol judge panel nearly wiped clean screenshot 2010 07 31 10.3904Randy Jackson will be the only returning judge for American Idol next season. The producers wanted to keep a small connection to the original host of American Idol judges.

Simon Cowell left for “The X Factor,” Ellen DeGeneres stepped down after one season, and Kara DioGuardi was let go. Apparently Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are replacements. Can we have Paula Abdul back? hahaha…

Millions of Facebook user details exposed

Hold on to your hats boys and girls, Facebook made things worse for you, not better! The personal details of more than 100 million Facebook users have been made available to download from the internet via file-sharing websites and torrents.

Canadian security consultant Ron Bowes of Skull Security developed a piece of software code that enabled him to harvest data on Facebook users who have not amended their privacy setting to make their information unavailable to search engines. Mr Bowes said he was able to uncover 171 million names, relating to over 100 million individuals, or more than one-fifth of Facebook’s total users.

  • LiLo Monroe?

LiLo Monroe? screenshot 2010 07 30 19.00Apparently our favorite jailbaby was busy before going to prison, filming a Marilyn Monroe comedy remake with the guy from the Sham-Wow commercials, Vince Shlomi. You can even see her wonderful accessory, her SCRAM-anklet in this shot.

I have no idea what else the movie is about or when it’s due to release (straight to DVD? hahaha), but I figured the 3 of you who actually read my blog would get a kick out of the photo.

As  Chad states on his Facebook:

Whether you like it not, it’s going down, all db’s can kiss da baby! Be ready!

Yeah. This Bengals season is going to be on like donkey kong. Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson & Terrel “TO” Owens, two of the biggest drama queens, on the same team. I love it.

  • Governator declares “fiscal emergency”

Governator declares fiscal emergency California employees, be ready to take more time off from work. But hey, at least he is making attempts to fix our state’s economic crisis. No one else seems to have the cajones to do it. Until our people can agree on a budget, I sort of feel that he has the right to put us on a less draining path until one is laid out for us.

Well, if you must insist... logo webmd

While I’m not suggesting we all go out and get smashing drunk until we’re too old to care, there are more benefits!

Rheumatoid arthritis patients who drink alcohol tend to have less severe symptoms than those who don’t, a new study finds. Earlier research has shown that compared to teetotalers, alcohol drinkers are less likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis, a progressive and often disabling inflammatory disease that attacks the joints.

But the study is the first to suggest drinking alcohol can lessen the severity of symptoms in people who already have the disease. Patients in the study who drank at least 10 alcoholic beverages a month had 20% to 30% less pain and inflammation than patients who didn’t drink alcohol, rheumatologist and study co-author James Maxwell of England’s University of Sheffield tells WebMD.

While he acknowledges more study is needed to confirm the association, Maxwell says the evidence is mounting that moderate alcohol consumption reduces both the risk and severity of rheumatoid arthritis. “Generally speaking, it appears that drinking alcohol in moderation may benefit patients with rheumatoid arthritis.”

  • Two divas, one team

Two divas, one team owens27 jpg 788701gm aYeah, it’s official. Terrell Ochouno has joined the Cincy Bengals right next to Chad. As I predicted some time ago. =)

The Cincinnati Bengals and the controversial wide receiver agreed to a one-year contract today, according to multiple reports. The deal is worth $4 million ($2 million in base salary, $2 million in incentives), according to Profootballtalk.com.

Fellow Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco confirmed the news on his Twitter account with:

“My homeboy is a Bengal all our games have been moved to pay-per-view.”

The Bengals report for training camp Wednesday in Georgetown, Ky. Owens is expected to arrive for the first day of workouts Thursday. The 36-year-old Owens is playing for his sixth NFL team. He played for the 49ers from 1996-2003, the Eagles from 2004-2005, the Cowboys from 2006-2008 and the Bills in 2009.

The Bengals signed free-agent WR Antonio Bryant to a four-year, $29 million deal back in March and were seemingly looking good at the receiver position. Bryant was signed to start opposite Ochocinco, but Bryant dealt with knee problems most of last season.

  • StarCraft II: It’s about time

StarCraft II: Its about time StarCraft2 211x300Twelve years later, and over a decade in the making, it is finally here. StarCraft II (Wings of Liberty) releases tonight. I was excited about this game coming out 2-3 years ago, but that slowly faded as I “found other things to do”, and now I sadly cannot fathom purchasing this game and not having time to play it at home.

I remember racing home from school, running into my room, loading up the infamous Dial-Up internet, and connecting to the Battle.Net servers to play some StarCraft online with friends. I had a massive account, thousands of wins, and was a member of one of the top StarCraft websites (Shafe.com – now extinct) at the time. As such, this franchise holds a special place in my heart.

I had a chance to play the beta for awhile when visiting my sister and her boyfriend a few months back; it was fun, not as complicated as I figured it would have been, but I still had the Real-Time Strategy (RTS) skill, for sure! View the cinematic trailer here:
