So Long, Superman!

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, as is the case today with our beloved Smallville. The CW confirms that the upcoming 10th season of young Superman’s sagas will conclude the long-running fan fave. Rumors that the end was near started swirling early Wednesday after Tom Welling revealed to Hollywood Life that season 10 would be Smallville‘s last.

I’ve watched Smallville since its opening episode and am sad to see it go – but honestly I thought it would have ended near season 7 or 8. I always figured Smallville would wrap up, and it would go into something more like The Justice League, since many of the characters are so tied in with the current Smallville – begin the life of Superman, ya know?

I recall getting friends hooked into the show when I left them two boxes full of DVDs while I was moving. If anyone’s up for watching from the beginning, let me know!

3D! Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can’t do. For instance, you can accept that your father was a pirate and a good man or you can’t. But pirate is in your blood, boy, so you’ll have to square with that some day. And me, for example, I can let you drown, but I can’t bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?

Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be shot in Disney Digital 3-D.

It was debated with to shoot the forth film in 3-D or convert it after post production. The film will start shooting this summer in Hawaii for a May 20, 2011 release date.

iPhone OS 4.0 beta 4 brings AT&T tethering support

No more need to jailbreak hack your iPhone! AT&T is testing, with the OS 4.0 beta software, the possibility to allow users to naturally tether their phone.

What is tethering you may ask? It basically utilizes the 3G coverage and turns your phone into a wireless hub, allowing your laptop to connect to it when you are not near a Starbucks, etc, for Wi-Fi access. Granted, your speed is limited to that of your 3G signal, but it’s better than playing solitare!
