• Toe Mouse for the disabled

Toe Mouse for the disabled Screen%20shot%202010 04 07%20at%2011.25.13%20AMA Toe Mouse was developed for the disabled, but how useful is it?

A study showed that the amount of people that have disabled arms/hands while having full mobility with their lower limbs is very low, and the number of customized devices for disabled operation already designed makes companies not want to develop products like this much further, yet alone produce and have them available for mass consumer purchase.

Secondly, unlike fingers, the ability to move one toe without moving the other is extremely difficult. As such, likeliness of clicking both toe-buttons at once would occur more often than not. Lastly, mobility with the foot/toe is much less than that of your hand/fingers, so I can only imagine how long it would take to scroll across a screen with this thing.

Overall? Nice idea, but unfortunately the operation of this new device makes the usage near impossible.

  • AT&T and Verizon in talks

AT&T and Verizon in talks Verizon attDrawing up the end of the first quarter of 2010, Verizon and AT&T are both in talks of a possible merger. This largely makes sense since Verizon has officially announced the iPhone crossing to their network as well. When Verizon and AT&T join forces (new company name unknown at this time) their next largest competitors would be Sprint followed by T-Mobile, neither of which poses a great threat to this combined wireless monster.

One shareholder was commented as saying “I think this is a really good thing for both sides. No longer will either company need to waste advertisement dollars combating each other.

You should also look out for price competition wars. As both AT&T and Verizon have similar plans, Sprint and T-Mobile do not. All AT&T and Verizon customers should look forward to an increase of “anytime” minutes and greater amounts of “any number” slots, to put the competitive edge against both other companies.

The end result is, congratulations if you’re a subscriber to either company during this merger, as things will only get better from here. Also, happy April Fool’s day!
